Noida, Aug. 27 -- An 11-year-old boy died after falling from the 17th floor of a residential tower at Hyde Park Society in Sector 78 on Wednesday evening, police said. Identified as Aarav, he was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police said Aarav lived with his family in R Tower. His father, Rohit Singla, works for a private company.
According to police, Aarav was standing on the balcony when he spotted some friends playing in the society compound and began talking to them. During the conversation, he apparently lost his balance and fell from the 17th floor. Security guards and residents rushed to help after raising an alarm and took him to hospital in a serious condition.
Police teams visited the spot and are questioning residents and examining other details to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fall.
