New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- BJP national president Nitin Nabin chaired the first meeting of the newly appointed party in-charges and co-in-charges of the states and Union Territories here on Tuesday.
After the meeting, Nabin said in a post on X, "At the BJP headquarters today, I held a meeting with the state in-charges and co-in-charges, and had a detailed discussion regarding organisational matters and upcoming programmes."
The BJP chief also posted on X a few pictures from the meeting.
According to sources, the meeting at the BJP headquarters discussed organisational issues and deliberated on the ways to address them to further strengthen the party's toehold across all states and UTs.
The newly appointed in-charges and co-in-charges of the party's units in the states were advised to spend adequate time in the states assigned to them and hold regular meetings with the party leaders and workers to address the issues and strengthen the party from the grassroots level, the sources added.
"All of them were asked to work in their respective states in an organised manner, meet the party workers and leaders, listen to them, guide them and waste no time in addressing issues and concerns, if any arise," a source in the party told news agency.
"They were also advised to meet and engage with all sections of society, including youth, in their respective states and strengthen the party's toehold from the grassroots level," the source added.
Sources said the party leadership at the meeting also asked the state in-charges to hold a meeting with their co-in-charges and chart a roadmap of their work plan with distribution of responsibilities among them so that work is done in an orderly manner.
"All of them were asked to work while keeping in mind that the party is above individual," another source told news agency.
