India, July 22 -- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has continued to provide prompt medical assistance to passengers facing health emergencies during train journeys. On July 17, RPF personnel at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station assisted an ailing woman travelling on the Thiruvananthapuram Central-Silchar Aronai Express and shifted her to the Railway Hospital before she was referred to a higher medical facility. The same day, a passenger from the Sabroom-Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express was also admitted to the Railway Hospital. NFR said 12 passengers received medical assistance in June, while seven more have been helped so far in July.
