Noida, Oct. 14 -- The Noida Authority has created three new administrative circles - 11, 12 and 14 - to strengthen monitoring of land acquisition and curb illegal construction in New Noida, also known as the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR).
Circle 11 will be headed by General Manager SP Singh, while General Manager AK Arora will oversee circles 12 and 14. Senior managers and managers will be appointed to monitor development and prevent unauthorised construction. The move comes as the authority prepares to begin the first phase of New Noida, planned across 80 villages with a projected population of six lakh. The master plan covers 209.11 square kilometres and envisages development in four phases between 2023 and 2041.
The first phase will cover 3,165 hectares, followed by 3,798 hectares in the second phase, 5,908 hectares in the third and 8,230 hectares in the final phase.
The authority has also finalised a land compensation policy based on mutual consent with farmers. The first two phases will follow Greater Noida Authority norms, offering compensation and six per cent developed residential plots. The third and fourth phases will follow the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority's policy, providing compensation and seven per cent residential plots.
A GIS map will guide land use, water body protection and road planning.
