India, May 20 -- In a push for sustainable transport and fuel conservation, Keshav Chandra, Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council, travelled to office by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Tuesday, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for austerity and reduced fuel use. He travelled from Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station to Rajiv Chowk and later used an electric auto to reach Palika Kendra. NDMC also announced a 50 per cent parking concession for electric vehicles at its parking sites and expanded electric mobility services, including e-autos, shuttle buses and EV scooters for staff and commuters.
