New Delhi, Oct. 26 -- The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), in collaboration with SPIC MACAY and the SRF Foundation, organised a classical music concert at Nehru Park in Chanakyapuri on Sunday evening as part of its 'Music in the Park' series.

The concert featured sitar recital by Shahid Parvez and Hindustani vocal performances by Siddhartha Belmannu, drawing classical music enthusiasts, students, diplomats and government and corporate sector officials to the park.

NDMC chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi attended the event and interacted with music lovers. He said such cultural programmes brought classical music from auditoriums to open public spaces, enriching the urban life of the capital.

The evening began with a Hindustani vocal performance by Belmannu, accompanied by

Ameya Nitin Bichu and Tejovrush Joshi. This was followed by a sitar recital by Parvez, accompanied by Mithilesh Jha.

Set against the greenery of Nehru Park, the concert offered audiences an opportunity to
