
Kolkata, Oct. 8 -- In a significant step towards promoting sustainable and eco-friendly practices at places of faith, the National Jute Board, Government of India, and the Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, jointly launched jute prasad bags at the Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, on October 8.
The initiative was jointly launched by Shashi Bhushan Singh, Secretary & CEO, National Jute Board, and Goraksha Madadeo Gadlikar, IAS, CEO, Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, in the presence of Kishan Singh Ghughgtyal, JD & Head, Market Promotion Division, National Jute Board, Government of India, along with senior management officials of Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust. The launch marked a collaborative effort to encourage environmentally-responsible alternatives for 'prasad' distribution while advancing the use of India's natural, renewable and biodegradable jute fibre.
