New Delhi, May 25 -- The Board of Directors of Meja Urja Nigam Pvt Ltd (MUNPL) has approved the Annual Accounts for FY26. MUNPL is a joint venture between NTPC Ltd and UPRVUNL and operates the 2x660 MW Meja Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.

During FY26, the station achieved commercial generation of 7,744 million units (MU). The plant maintained an Availability Factor of 89.61 per cent, reflecting stable and reliable operations.

The Company reported a Total Income of Rs 4,666.60 crore for the year.

Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 727.70 crore, underscoring strong financial performance.

In line with its commitment to social responsibility, MUNPL incurred Rs 12.714 crore towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

In a significant development for the power sector in Uttar Pradesh, the UP Cabinet has approved the Stage-II expansion of the Meja Thermal Power Project, paving the way for enhanced generation capacity and strengthening long-term energy security in the region.
