New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- A 22-year-old e-commerce delivery rider was killed after a speeding Delhi Transport Corporation electric bus allegedly rammed his motorcycle in Punjabi Bagh on Wednesday morning here, officials said.

The incident, which took place near Ashoka Park Metro station on Rohtak Road, west Delhi, when Sonu was on his way to deliver an order, triggered protests by residents and delivery riders who blocked the road and vandalised the bus, police said. They said a large crowd gathered at the spot and refused to allow police to take away the body. The protesters also blocked the carriageway from Punjabi Bagh towards Zakhira, disrupting traffic in the area.
