India, Aug. 3 -- On the occasion of Independence Day, schools across Uttar Pradesh will this time become the biggest centres of patriotism, national unity and public participation. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has completed extensive preparations to transform the August 14 'Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas' and the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026', which will continue till August 15, into a mass movement through schools. The Basic Education and Secondary Education Department has issued a detailed action plan and directed schools across the state to ensure the active participation of students, teachers, parents and the local community. Through the campaign, the message of patriotism, national unity, respect for the Constitution and the pride of the Tricolour will reach every household. Under this, the scheduled programmes will be organized in a time-bound manner in all Basic and Secondary schools. Maximum participation of students, community cooperation and the highest respect for the National Flag will be given top priority in every activity. On August 14, 'Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas' will be observed in all schools across the state. Students will be familiarised with the historical circumstances of the Partition of India, its humanitarian impact and the importance of national unity. Special lectures, discussions, exhibitions and awareness programmes will be organized in schools so that the younger generation learns from history and becomes sensitive towards national integrity, social harmony and democratic values. Schools will serve as the centres for the campaign's extensive publicity and outreach while ensuring the participation of the local community so that the message of respect for the Tricolour and national pride reaches every section of society. Under the campaign, schools will organize essay writing, painting, speech, debate, quiz competitions, patriotic songs, cultural programmes, Prabhat Pheris, Tiranga Yatras and other creative activities. Students will also be familiarised with the Flag Code of India, the Fundamental Duties enshrined in the Constitution and the role of citizens in nation-building so that their sense of responsibility and pride towards the nation becomes even stronger. Schools have been directed to share photographs and videos of the programmes through the designated platforms. Students and parents will also be encouraged to actively participate through the official digital platform of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. "Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is a powerful medium to instill the values of patriotism, national unity and respect for the Constitution among the younger generation. Schools across Uttar Pradesh will become the biggest centres of this campaign. Our endeavour is to ensure that every student is connected with respect for the Tricolour, the ideals of the freedom struggle and the resolve of Viksit Bharat. This message of national pride arising from schools should reach every household, and through public participation, Independence Day should truly assume the form of a national festival."
