India, June 30 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has intensified field-level initiatives across the Capital, combining public health outreach with civic enforcement measures as part of its efforts to improve community welfare and urban management. Under the Pulse Polio Immunisation Drive, MCD teams administered polio drops to eligible children at Anganwadi Centres operating under Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AyAM) in Peeragarhi and other parts of the city. Health workers also encouraged greater community participation to strengthen immunisation coverage and improve awareness of preventive healthcare services. Separately, the MCD's Veterinary Services Department conducted a cattle-catching drive in Pitampura under the Keshav Puram Zone, impounding six stray cattle. The civic body said the exercise was aimed at improving road safety, easing traffic movement and maintaining public sanitation. The twin initiatives reflect the MCD's continued focus on strengthening grassroots healthcare and civic management through coordinated field operations across different parts of Delhi. mpost
