India, Aug. 30 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has intensified cleanliness and civic management measures across the city under its 'Delhi Ko Kude Se Azadi' campaign, with different zones carrying out targeted on-ground interventions. In the East Zone, teams undertook malba removal at multiple locations to clear construction and demolition waste and strengthen dust-control measures. The zone also conducted a cattle-control drive in Mayur Vihar Phase-I and Kalyan Puri, during which six stray cattle were impounded. The West Zone similarly intensified action against stray cattle, impounding five animals during a drive. In Rajouri Garden, officials inspected sanitation arrangements around the Z Block Fixed Compactor Transfer Station and nearby lanes. Meanwhile, the South-East Zone organised health check-up camps for sanitation workers and carried out a plantation drive near Nizamuddin Flyover. The North-East and North zones also conducted inspections to monitor cleanliness and sanitation arrangements. The measures reflect the civic body's "focus on improving cleanliness, waste removal, public safety and green cover through sustained, zone-wise action".
