New Delhi, Sept. 22 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has started a pilot drone-based survey of properties in two wards to improve property tax assessment and identify unassessed
and under-assessed properties, officials said on Tuesday.
The aerial survey is being carried out in Rohini F Ward of Rohini Zone and Gharoli Ward of Shahdara South Zone as part of the first phase of the exercise, according to the official statement.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi plans to use drone imagery along with GIS, LiDAR-based mapping, geo-tagging, artificial intelligence and 3D digital modelling to create a more accurate property database.
