New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- The MCD Commissioner, Sanjeev Khirwar, during an inspection of Molarband on Wednesday, directed officials to complete repairs at damaged rooms of the MCD Primary School in Molarband village by Monday and temporarily shift students to a safe alternative location.
Khirwar said the safety of students should remain the priority while repair work is underway. He also directed officials to explore developing a park within the school premises to improve the learning environment.
The Commissioner also reviewed civic issues including sanitation, waste management, encroachments, healthcare facilities and waterlogging. He directed officials to examine the feasibility of starting an MCD dispensary at the POTA cabin near the Molarband
Extension school.
Inspecting waterlogging on Main Jaitpur Road, Khirwar asked officials to identify the underlying cause and undertake technical measures for a permanent solution instead of relying solely on repeated pumping.
He also directed officials to clear waste dumped along roads in Tajpur Pahadi Mines and Molarband and address the issue of stray animals. At Shaheed Bijender Singh Chowk, he ordered priority action on beautification, removal of encroachments and illegal rehri vendors, cleanliness and proper maintenance of the martyr's statue.
Officials were instructed to coordinate across departments and ensure time-bound monitoring of the measures.
