India, July 8 -- Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi on Tuesday inaugurated a Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (RRR) Centre and a selfie point developed by transforming a 'dhalao' at Delhi University's North Campus. Built with support from Miranda House, the facility was created using 45 discarded tyres and over 3,000 old bricks. Wahi said waste segregation at source and public participation were essential to reducing Delhi's landfill burden. The centre will serve as a collection point for old clothes, toys and e-waste for recycling and reuse. He said the model could be replicated across the city to promote sustainable waste management.
