Malda, Sept. 3 -- A 23-year-old migrant worker from Malda died tragically after allegedly falling from a moving train while returning home from Bengaluru, leaving his family and neighbours in deep shock. The deceased was identified as Shariful Ansari (23), a resident of Nakrakuri village under Deotala area of Gazole in Malda district.
According to his family, Shariful had gone to Bengaluru around two months ago in search of work. After completing his work, he boarded a train to return home. His family was expecting him to arrive on Thursday evening.
However, their happiness turned into grief after they received the tragic news on Wednesday. According to the family, Shariful allegedly fell from the moving train near Kalijai Railway Station in Odisha. He suffered critical injuries and died in the incident.
"I was waiting for my son to return home. We never imagined that we would receive news of his death instead. We are devastated," said Nurul Ansari, Shariful's father.
