New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, will not be attending the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in New Delhi from October 26-27 owing to 'unforeseen circumstances', stated the Iranian Embassy in India in a statement issued on Saturday.
In the statement, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that Qalibaf would not be able to attend the meeting of Speakers of Parliaments of BRICS member countries.
But it stressed Iran's dedication towards its participation in BRICS initiatives and added that the Iranian delegation will carry on with its bilateral and multilateral discussions with the other member countries.
