New Delhi, May 14 -- For the past 19 years, Robir Ghar Sangeet Charcha Kendra in Dum Dum, Kolkata, has been organising a musical public gathering on May 1, a week before the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
This year, their musical rally, known as 'Kabirath', stepped into its 20th year. Students and guardians joined the musical procession in large numbers. Children performed songs and the repertoire included Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti and songs by Atul Prasad Sen, along with songs based on themes of patriotism, nature and devotion.
The entire event has been conducted under the guidance of noted music artiste Santanu Roychoudhury and Nabanita Roychoudhury, who head the institution.
