Shimla, Aug. 5 -- Following the filing of police FIRs against sitting MLAs, former MLAs and several BJP leaders, including state party president Rajeev Bindal, the opposition BJP on Wednesday staged a massive protest outside the CM's residence and accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of political vendetta to frame opposition leaders in fabricated cases ahead of the state assembly elections.

Led by former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, hundreds of party workers, MLAs, former MLAs, and party office-bearers, the protesters raised slogans to target the chief minister for alleged misuse of power to suppress Opposition voice on growing corruption, anti-people policies, deterioration of the law-and-order situation, and political vendetta.
