Shimla, Aug. 30 -- Chirag Bhanu Singh, a senior district and sessions judge, today took oath as a Judge of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh, while Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal took oath as Additional Judges of the High Court for a term of two years.

The oath of office was administered by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh Kavinder Gupta at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, Shimla, in the presence of the Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia

The strength of the high court judges has risen to 15 including Chief Justice.

Those attended the ceremony included Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Health and Family Welfare Minister Col (rtd) Dhani Ram Shandil and Judges of the High Court- Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, justice Bipin Chander Negi ,Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Justice Sushil Kukreja, Justice Virender Singh, Justice Ranjan Sharma,Justice Bipin Chander Negi, Justice Rakesh Kainthla and Justice Jiya Lal Bhardwaj.

Former Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, former Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh Justice Sabina, Registrar General, Chief Secretary, Registrars, Judicial Officers of the State, President, Bar Association of Himachal Pradesh, other members of the High Court Bar Association and other dignitaries of the State were also present on the occasion.
