Kolkata, Sept. 17 -- The anti-corruption ombudsman, Lokpal, has dismissed all corruption allegations against the Member of Parliament (MP) from Bankura Arup Chakraborty.
In the order delivered, by a six-member bench headed by Chairperson Justice A.M. Khanwilkar, came after a preliminary inquiry conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which subsequently found no evidence to substantiate the claims of corruption.
The case dates back to November 2025, when the Lokpal directed the CBI to investigate the allegations against Chakraborty. These accusations include, unlawful transfer of a government fishery project, extortion and intimidation, generating illegal monthly assets.
