New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- The Ministry of Textiles will reopen the application portal for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles on November 1. Fresh applications under Round 4 of the scheme will be accepted till December 31, 2026.
The scheme covers the manufacture of Man-Made Fibre (MMF) apparel, MMF fabrics and technical textiles. According to the ministry, it aims to expand domestic manufacturing capacity, attract investment, generate employment and strengthen India's position in global textile value chains.
Alongside the reopening, the ministry has revised three provisions of the scheme to widen participation.
The minimum turnover requirement under Part 2 of the scheme has been lowered from Rs 200 crore to Rs 100 crore. The ministry said the change would allow greater participation by MSMEs and mid-sized manufacturing units.
The scheme's tenure has been extended to financial year 2033-34, but only for applicants approved under Round 4. According to the ministry, the longer tenure is meant to give these firms more time to establish and scale up their manufacturing capacity.
Existing participants from Rounds 1, 2 and 3, in any part of the scheme, that have not yet claimed or received any incentive may also migrate to Round 4. To do so, they must withdraw their earlier applications.
Eligible companies have been asked to apply online through the portal, pli.texmin.gov.in, within the stipulated period and in line with the scheme guidelines.
