New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Ranbir Kapoor's first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-awaited period drama 'Love & War' has arrived and it shows the actor driving a car with a bullet injury.
Released by 'Bhansali Productions' on Thursday, ahead of Ranbir's birthday, the first poster features the actor in a white shirt, seated inside a blue car, with his bloodied left hand hanging outside the window. The injury appears to have been caused by a bullet.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is billed as an epic saga set against the backdrop of war. It brings together Ranbir, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles, with Vicky making his first collaboration with Bhansali. The film releases on January 21, 2027.
For Ranbir, 'Love & War' marks a reunion with Bhansali nearly two decades after his acting debut in 'Saawariya' (2007), which also featured Sonam Kapoor. The actor is returning to the filmmaker after 19 years.
Alia has previously worked with Bhansali in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' (2022), which went on to win the National Award for 'Best Actress' for her performance.
Ranbir, meanwhile, has a packed line-up ahead. He will next headline Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious 'Ramayana', which is planned as a two-part release during Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027. He will also return as Ranvijay Singh in 'Animal Park', the sequel to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'.
Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in Laxman Utekar's historical biopic 'Chhaava', is now set to share screen space with Ranbir and Alia in Bhansali's much-anticipated period drama.
