New Delhi, Oct. 20 -- A father-son duo was arrested for allegedly attacking a 34-year-old Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) employee with a sharp-edged weapon following a Rs.3,500 dispute in Northeast Delhi's Saboli Khadda area, police said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred near Gullu Ka Mandir on October 18. The victim, Ashish, was sitting with a co-worker, Sonu Sagar, when an argument broke out with Pratap Singh, 54, over money allegedly given to secure an MCD job for Singh's son, Rahul.

Police said Singh suspected Sagar had kept the money and demanded its return. The dispute escalated, and Singh's son, Ashish, 26, allegedly attacked the victim before fleeing. The injured man was taken to GTB Hospital.

A special team analysed CCTV footage and used intelligence inputs and technical surveillance to arrest both accused within two hours of registering the FIR. Neither has a previous criminal record, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
