India, July 20 -- A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father at their home in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri area, an officer said on Sunday. Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the BNS and provisions of the POCSO Act. The accused, police said, remained absconding. According to the FIR filed at Mahendra Park police station, the survivor said that on July 7, her father raped her when her mother and 10-year-old brother were away. She alleged that he established forcible physical relations with her against her will and threatened to kill her and her mother if she revealed the incident to anyone. Police have booked the accused under Sections 64(2) (punishment for rape), 65(1) (rape) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The complainant resides with her mother and brother in Jahangirpuri, while her father lives at the Badli village. "The accused is on the run. Multiple teams have been formed to trace and apprehend him at the earliest," a senior police officer said. Further investigation is underway.
