Kolkata, Oct. 12 -- The EC launched a statewide outreach drive across West Bengal to ensure no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls. District Electoral Officer (DEO) offices in all districts have begun organising special camps as part of the initiative.
The Chief Electoral Officer's office said the exercise aims to include every eligible voter in the electoral rolls. Additional CEO Arindam Niyogi reiterated the EC's commitment to ensuring that no eligible voter is left out. He said the aim is to ensure all eligible voters who had been left out or those who would be first-time voters are not excluded.
The CEO's office has urged people facing difficulties or having complaints regarding their names on the electoral rolls to contact their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or DEO.
