NEW DELHI, April 3 -- Hostel students at Miranda House staged a protest and hunger strike, alleging food rationing and poor meal quality linked to an LPG shortage amid the ongoing Middle East conflict. Students said nutritious items had been reduced, with limited breakfast options and repetitive meals affecting those dependent on hostel food. The principal, Bijayalaxmi Nanda, said PNG is primarily used and any rationing follows discussions. She added that an agreement has been reached with the student union and hostel authorities; issue expected to be resolved soon.
