New Delhi, July 5 -- The Delhi government on Sunday launched a new Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus service, Route 753 Ext, connecting Mori Gate Terminal with Kheri Baba Pul on an experimental basis to improve public transport connectivity between Central and West Delhi. The service, which began operations from July 5, is expected to benefit commuters from Janakpuri, Vikas Puri, Uttam Nagar, Hastsal, Shiv Vihar, Hari Nagar and adjoining areas by providing direct access to Mori Gate ISBT.

Announcing the launch, Delhi Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said the initiative was part of the government's efforts to strengthen the city's public transport network and make commuting more convenient for residents.

"The launch of Route 753 Ext is another step towards our vision of providing seamless, affordable and accessible public transport to every citizen of Delhi. The new route will improve daily connectivity between Central and West Delhi while offering significant convenience to the Purvanchal community travelling through the city's major interstate transport hubs," the minister said.

He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government was continuously expanding public transport services to make commuting safer, more convenient and citizen-centric.

"The newly introduced route will significantly improve accessibility for residents of Janakpuri, Vikas Puri, Hastsal, Shiv Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Hari Nagar and adjoining localities by providing them with a direct and affordable public transport connection to Central Delhi and Mori Gate," Singh said.

According to the government, Route 753 Ext will operate between Mori Gate Terminal and Kheri Baba Pul via key locations including Red Fort, Delhi Gate, Paharganj, Karol Bagh, Rajendra Place, Shadipur, Naraina, Maya Puri, Janakpuri, Uttam Nagar, Vikas Puri, Hastsal and Shiv Vihar.

DTC officials said the route has been designed to serve office-goers, students, senior citizens and daily commuters while improving connectivity to educational institutions, hospitals, employment centres, Metro stations and major interchange points.

The government said the route's direct connectivity to Mori Gate ISBT and Kashmere Gate would particularly benefit members of the Purvanchal community by providing easier access to interstate bus services and nearby railway stations, reducing the need for multiple transfers during long-distance travel. Officials said the launch of Route 753 Ext was part of the government's broader efforts to expand Delhi's public transport network and improve commuter convenience across the city.
