New Delhi, Sept. 22 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) carried out 42 demolition actions across all 12 zones on Tuesday as part of its ongoing enforcement drive against unauthorised constructions, dangerous buildings and violations of the Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) and building bye-laws.
Seven properties were sealed and three demolition orders were issued during the day's enforcement exercise, according to the civic body. The action was aimed at ensuring compliance with building regulations and addressing violations that could pose risks to public safety. The MCD said demolition actions were carried out at several locations, including Sant Nagar, New Ashok Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Teliwara, Shahdara, Geeta Colony, Ram Nagar, Jayapur, Sonia Vihar and Dilshad Garden.
