India, June 29 -- A year after making e-Office mandatory across government departments, the Delhi Government says the shift from paper files to digital processing has significantly changed the way official work is handled, with more than 1.4 lakh e-files and 9.2 lakh e-receipts processed since July 2025. The digital platform, which completes one year on July 1, now covers 235 departments and offices and has nearly 15,750 active users, according to the government. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the transition to e-Office has reduced dependence on paper files while improving the speed and transparency of government functioning. The Chief Minister said the system enables officials to track the status of files and identify who is handling them at any stage, reducing delays and strengthening accountability. "The e-Office system now makes it easy to identify which official is handling a particular file and what action has been taken on it.
