New Delhi, June 21 -- The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested three men for allegedly conspiring to extort Rs 10 crore from a defence equipment manufacturer by issuing death threats in the names of Khalistani operatives and gangster elements.

The arrests were made by the Anti-Robbery and Snatching Cell (ARSC) following an extensive investigation into a high-profile extortion and criminal intimidation case registered at Chanakyapuri police station. The accused have been identified as Gurpinder Singh alias Prince (32) and Shamsher Singh alias Sam (35), both residents of Tarn Taran in Punjab, and Jaswant Singh (59), a resident of Amritsar.

According to police, the case was registered on the complaint of Sahil Luthra, founder and managing director of Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions Pvt Ltd. Luthra alleged that he had received repeated extortion demands and death threats purportedly from gangster Goldy Brar and Khalistani operatives.

Investigators said the complainant received several threatening calls and messages during August and September 2025. On June 4, he allegedly received a WhatsApp voice note from an international number demanding Rs 10 crore and warning of serious consequences if the money was not paid.

Following the transfer of the case to the Crime Branch on June 10, officers carried out technical surveillance and analysed digital evidence, which led them to the accused.

During interrogation, Gurpinder and Shamsher allegedly admitted that they had transmitted the threatening voice note at the behest of Jaswant Singh, who was overseeing the complainant's company's operations in Punjab.

Police further revealed that earlier threats were allegedly orchestrated through a person identified as "Manni", said to be operating from Spain, in connivance with Jaswant Singh.

Investigators have also linked the accused to a firing incident targeting the complainant in Punjab, connecting the conspiracy to another extortion-related case. Five mobile phones allegedly used in the crime have been recovered. Further investigation is underway to identify additional conspirators and uncover the full extent of the network.
