New Delhi, Oct. 14 -- Marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday highlighted Delhi's progress in healthcare, transport and infrastructure, while raising concerns over the impact of protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls on residents and traders.

Addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister's Janseva Sadan, Gupta expressed gratitude to Modi on behalf of Delhi's 2.5 crore residents, saying his leadership had advanced public welfare and development. She said the Delhi government, which took office in February 2025, was working to realise the vision of a 'Viksit Delhi' in line with 'Viksit Bharat'.

Highlighting healthcare initiatives, Gupta said Delhi residents were now receiving health coverage of up to Rs.10 lakh under Ayushman Bharat, with more than nine lakh registrations and Rs.118 crore settled against around 85,000 claims. Around three lakh senior citizens had registered under the Vaya Vandana scheme, while approximately 415 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs had been established, with a target of 1,100.

On transport and infrastructure, she cited more than 5,300 electric buses operating in Delhi and road infrastructure projects worth over

Rs 1.25 lakh crore that had been completed, were under way or were at various stages of planning over the past 12 years.
