India, Aug. 18 -- Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Monday met Nigeria's Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, at the Delhi Secretariat to explore cooperation in agriculture, farmers' welfare and food security. The meeting focused on agricultural development, marketing of farm produce and ways to strengthen food security through better management and technology. Officials of the Delhi government's Development Department briefed the Nigerian delegation on the capital's agricultural sector and various state and Central government schemes aimed at supporting farmers. The Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board briefed the Nigerian delegation on the mandi system and agricultural supply chains. Both sides discussed technology, farmer welfare, food security and stronger market systems, while exploring continued knowledge-sharing.
