Kolkata, July 8 -- The Bidhannagar Court issued another summons and directed Diamond Harbour MP, Abhishek Banerjee, to appear before it for his voice sample collection on July 18 after he failed to appear before the Court on Wednesday for recording his voice sample in connection with the investigation of his 'DJ' comment during the Assembly Election campaign.

Earlier, the court had directed the Diamond Harbour MP to appear at 10 am for his voice sample collection.

While investigators from the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and forensic experts waited at the court premises, Banerjee skipped the proceedings.

After the stipulated time was over, the Special Public Prosecutor alleged before the court that Banerjee is not cooperating with the investigation and also sought a stringent order for his appearance.
