New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- Two persons suffered burn injuries after an LPG cylinder exploded at a jhuggi in Delhi's Vivek Vihar here on Sunday, an official of the Delhi Fire Service said.

The injured were identified as Anil Das (35), and his wife Khushboo (30); both sustained around 60 per cent burn injuries, he said.

According to the Delhi Fire Service, a call regarding an LPG cylinder fire was received at 4.24 pm from jhuggi located behind Vivek Vihar police station.

Two water tenders and one water bowser were rushed to the spot following the information, he said. The fire was brought under control by 4.55pm. The injured were taken to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in a PCR vehicle, while details of the blast remained awaited.
