India, July 13 -- Delhi Police have busted an inter-state racket involved in buying and selling stolen luxury vehicles, arresting two alleged dealers from Punjab and Rajasthan and recovering 12 high-end cars with forged registration documents and tampered identification numbers. PThe accused bought stolen vehicles for Rs 4-5 lakh, altered their chassis and engine numbers, forged registration certificates and sold them as genuine vehicles. The recoveries include Hyundai Creta, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Innova Crysta, Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Harrier SUVs. Police suspect the gang traded 15-20 stolen vehicles and are now tracing the suppliers and other members of the syndicate.
