New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that from the upcoming academic session, teachers associated with higher education, technical education, and technology education will also be honoured with the State Teacher Award. Currently, this award is conferred only upon teachers associated with school education.

He added that it is the government's priority to encourage all teachers who make outstanding contributions to the field of education. CM Saini made this announcement while addressing the state level function on Teachers' Day held in Panchkula on Saturday as a distinguished guest. Haryana Governor Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, the Chief Guest, Governor Mitra Ghosh and Education minister Mahipal Dhanda were also present.

On the occasion, Governor Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh, Chief Minister Saini and Education minister Dhanda honored 79 teachers for their outstanding contribution to the field of education.

Meanwhile, The Haryana govt has taken in-principle decision to bring sanitation workers working on municipal rolls under the ambit of the Haryana Contractual Employees (Service Security) Act, 2024.
