India, Aug. 21 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday inaugurated a Jan Kaushal Kendra and a Swayam Swasthya Kendra in Moti Nagar, saying the twin initiatives aim to improve access to future-oriented skill training and neighbourhood healthcare. The centres have been set up by the Madan Lal Khurana Foundation. Moti Nagar MLA Harish Khurana, Umang Bajaj and other dignitaries were present at the event. Addressing the gathering, Gupta said rapid advances in Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies have created new opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship, making industry-oriented skill development essential alongside formal education. "The Jan Kaushal Kendra... is an important building block in laying a strong foundation for a much larger goal," she said. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day address, Gupta said the Centre has set a target of equipping one crore youth with AI skills, adding that work towards this objective has begun in Delhi. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Swayam Swasthya Kendra, describing local access to healthcare as equally important as education and skill development.
