India, Aug. 13 -- A 51-year-old alleged drug trafficker, wanted in multiple narcotics cases, was detained under the PITNDPS Act, Delhi Police said Wednesday. Dharamveer Singh alias Palla was apprehended from Fateh Nagar on August 10 after technical surveillance. Police said he has eight previous cases, including several NDPS cases, and allegedly supplied ganja from south to Delhi. Criminal opens fire at Delhi Police New Delhi: A 29-year-old wanted criminal allegedly snatched a Delhi Police head constable's service pistol and fired at a sub-inspector while being brought from West Bengal to Delhi. Police retaliated, injuring him in the leg. The accused and injured officer were hospitalised, while the pistol, magazine and cartridges were recovered. CISF recovers monkey skull New Delhi: CISF personnel at IGI Airport on August 10 recovered a monkey skull from a passenger's hand baggage during pre-boarding screening. The passenger, travelling to Hyderabad, was handed over to police after authorities were informed. The skull will be examined by the Wildlife Department to determine its species and legality.
