New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Just a day after announcing state in-charges and co-in-charges, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday announced an organisational reshuffle, appointing new state general secretaries (Organisation) and joint general secretaries (Organisation) for several states and Union Territories.
At the national level, Shivprakash has been appointed National Joint General Secretary (Organisation) for Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa, with Mumbai as his headquarters. Saudan Singh will oversee Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal, with Bhubaneswar as his headquarters.
The party has also appointed V Satish as coordinator for the SC and ST Morchas and the Parliamentary Office, while Nagendra will serve as coordinator for Varishth Karyakarta Sampark (Senior Worker Outreach) in Delhi.
At the state level, Ajay Jamwal has been appointed State General Secretary (Organisation) for Maharashtra, while Satish Dhond will serve as State Joint General Secretary (Organisation) and handle Janjati Sampark in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
Madhukar has been appointed State General Secretary (Organisation) for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while Dashrath will serve as State Joint General Secretary (Organisation) for Telangana.
The restructuring also brings changes to the BJP's organisational setup in the eastern and northeastern states. Ravindra Raju has been appointed State General Secretary (Organisation) for Assam and Tripura, with office construction as an additional responsibility. Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya will oversee Bihar, Pawan Sai Jharkhand, Manas Mohanty Odisha and Amitabh Chakraborty West Bengal.Dharampal has been appointed State General Secretary (Organisation) for Uttar Pradesh, while Chandrashekhar will oversee Madhya Pradesh and Karmveer Chhattisgarh.
For Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Ratnakar has been appointed State General Secretary (Organisation), while Arun Binnadi will serve as State Joint General Secretary (Organisation) for Gujarat.
The party has also appointed Phanindranath Sharma for Uttarakhand, Pawan Rana for Delhi and Haryana, Siddharthan for Himachal Pradesh, and Mantri Srinivasulu for Punjab and Chandigarh. In regional appointments, Abhay Giri has been appointed coordinator of the Braj Kshetra, with Agra as his base, while Ananta Narayan Mishra has been appointed coordinator of the Bhagalpur, Purnia and Kosi regions, with Purnia as his base.
The BJP said all the appointments would take effect immediately.
The organisational restructuring comes against the backdrop of the appointment of a new BJP national president and ahead of the organisational and electoral exercises the party is expected to undertake.
