Kolkata, Sept. 15 -- The West Bengal government has transferred 31 officers of the West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service in a major reshuffle aimed at strengthening financial administration across key departments and organisations.
Nabanna said the transfers were intended to improve financial management and fill vacancies at important posts, with some officers also given additional responsibilities.
Finance Department Joint Commissioner and ex-officio Joint Secretary Arunabh Ghosh has been posted as Pay and Accounts Officer, Kolkata Pay and Accounts Office-III, while MSME and Textiles Financial Advisor Sudeep Basu becomes Controller of Municipal Finance and Accounts.
School Education has appointed Amitabh Adak as Additional Financial Advisor and Soumen Das as Accounts Officer for PM Poshan. Several other departments also saw changes.
