India, April 20 -- In a major push to strengthen rural infrastructure, Delhi Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh on Sunday inaugurated two key development projects in Bawana constituency, addressing long-pending demands for water supply and road connectivity in Prahlad Vihar and Dariyapur Kalan. A water pipeline project, built at an approximate cost of Rs.45 lakh, was launched in Prahlad Vihar, ending a wait of nearly 15 years. The project ensures access to clean and uninterrupted water supply for thousands of residents, providing a permanent solution to drinking water shortages in the area. Locals, especially women, elderly citizens, and children, are expected to benefit significantly from improved access to this basic necessity. The road, connecting Dada Maldev Talab to Nangal Mor Road in Bawana, resolves a nearly 20-year-old demand and is expected to significantly improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and ease traffic movement in the region. Both projects were undertaken with support from the Delhi Village Development Board and the Irrigation and Flood Control Department. Officials said the initiatives mark a step forward in improving basic infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas of the capital. Addressing residents, Singh said the government remains committed to ensuring equitable development and access to essential services. He emphasised that strengthening infrastructure in villages and rural areas continues to be a priority, adding that more development works will be undertaken in the coming time. Residents welcomed the projects, saying they would improve daily life and bring long-awaited relief to the community.
