Kolkata, Sept. 28 -- The cops of Baruipur Police District arrested three persons and seized two firearms and a few rounds of ammunition in two separate incidents.
According to police, on Monday morning, based on a tip off, police personnel from the Bakultala Police Station intercepted a youth identified as Abbasuddin Sardar in the vicinity of Priyor More. During the search, one country-made single-shot firearm and two live rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.
In another incident, cops of Joynagar Police Station conducted a raid at Manashatala area and detained two suspects identified as Amir Soyel Shaikh and Sahid Anawar Mondal. During a search, police found one improvised country-made 7 mm firearm along with six rounds of ammunition.
