FARIDABAD, May 24 -- A Bangladeshi engineering student allegedly died by suicide in the hostel of a private college on the Surajkund-Faridabad Road in Faridabad, police said on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mustaq, a Bangladeshi national studying engineering at the institute. According to police, he shared a hostel room on the second floor with another student, who was away at work when the incident took place on Saturday evening.
When the roommate returned, he allegedly found Mustaq hanging from a ceiling fan. With the help of other students, he rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said preliminary findings suggest a possible affair angle, though the matter is still under investigation.
