India, July 24 -- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) athlete L/HC Nidhi created history by winning a silver medal at the 10th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2026 held in Dong Nai City, Vietnam, from July 15 to 23. She secured second place in the continental competition, which featured top athletes from across Asia. Attached to the CISF's Central Pencak Silat team at the Airport Security Group (ASG), Delhi, Nidhi was praised for her dedication, discipline and outstanding performance. CISF said her achievement was the result of rigorous training and sustained support from its Sports Directorate, while ASG Delhi provided training, logistical and administrative assistance. Her success comes ahead of the 11th All India Police Judo Cluster Championship 2026, which CISF will host in Hyderabad from July 27. Pencak Silat is one of the five disciplines featured in the championship, alongside Judo, Taekwondo, Wushu and Karate.
