India, June 21 -- As lakhs of tourists flock to hill destinations to escape the scorching plains, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) on Saturday launched an ambitious digital overhaul of its premium tourism network, comprising more than 60 properties across Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, and Delhi. HPTDC chairman RS Bali unveiled a set of three affordable concessional cards-Platinum, Gold, and Silver-to enhance occupancy at the HPTDC hotels across the state and beyond the state's boundaries, where the properties are located at the best tourist destinations. The Platinum Card is aimed at increasing the number of frequent travellers and also the institutional clients. "The card will offer benefits such as discounted room tariffs up to 50 per cent for a three-year validity period, 20 percent concessions on food and 10 per cent on drinks," Bali declared at Dharamshala.
