India, July 14 -- Akasa Air has suspended its direct flight between Noida International Airport in Jewar and Navi Mumbai International Airport, barely a month after launch, citing low passenger demand. The airline has also temporarily halted its Bengaluru service from Jewar. Sources attributed the poor response to inadequate last-mile connectivity and high travel costs, with taxis remaining the primary mode of transport to both airports. While the Navi Mumbai route has been paused, Akasa Air has introduced two additional daily flights to Mumbai. The airline said the suspension is temporary.
