India, Aug. 8 -- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has terminated a security guard following a complaint of inappropriate behaviour towards a woman attendant, after a video of the alleged incident circulated on social media. A reel posted on Instagram purportedly showed a security guard attempting to touch the woman inappropriately. The video subsequently drew attention online, prompting concerns over the safety and dignity of women at the premier medical institution. In a press release issued on Saturday, AIIMS New Delhi said it had taken "strict action" against security guard Dhananjay Singh following a complaint regarding inappropriate behaviour with a woman patient attendant. According to the institute, the guard has been terminated from service, while a penalty has also been imposed on the security agency employing him. AIIMS said a police complaint was lodged for further action.
