Kolkata, July 8 -- Actor Rajesh Sharma, known for his powerful performances in films such as No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture, Paromitar Ekdin and Bombairer Bombete, has fallen seriously ill after being bitten by a poisonous spider while shooting for a South Indian film with superstar Prabhas in Hyderabad.
The actor flew back to Kolkata and was admitted at a city hospital. A statement made by directors Sudipa Chatterjee and Agnidev Chaterjee on social media said he has developed a high fever and several other complications.
Despite spending more than a day in hospital, the actor's fever has not subsided. He has also developed breathing difficulties and other health complications. Doctors believe the infection has since spread rapidly from his foot to his knee.
