Kolkata, Sept. 18 -- ABVP, along with the West Bengal University Employees' Association affiliated to the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, organised Vishwakarma Puja at Jadavpur University's main and Salt Lake campuses on Friday.
Students and teaching and non-teaching staff joined the celebrations at the technology building and Salt Lake campus. ABVP said the event sought to highlight the university's traditions of work culture, creativity, knowledge and technology while strengthening its presence on a campus with a strong Left student history.
The Puja comes amid heightened political activity and follows recent clashes between ABVP and FETSU activists. The organisation has also held Saraswati Puja and Ram Navami events.
